Cultured Sea Glass Design Team Take 2

Even after the January Cultured Sea Glass Design Team reveal, we had quite a few more Design Team members roll out their inspirational designs. Yesterday was Memorial Day here in the U.S. and it always feels like the (un)official kickoff of Summer. Since summertime often means time by the seashore, today seemed like the perfect day to share these cultured sea glass creations.

Diamonds in the Rough - Challenge Reveal!

In April, we challenged our design team from Tucson to pick out some of our older wholesale beads and pendants and revitalize them with new designs.  Our intrepid designers took up the challenge! See the initial blog post here: April Stone Challenge.

I sent out a massive file with all the items in our warehouse we thought could use a little more exposure - some of them perhaps overlooked in the past few years.  The designers picked some items they felt comfortable using and a few that were more challenging.  I threw in a few more just in case it wasn't challenging enough.

Here are a few examples of what the designers got.  Thanks for the pictures Charlie and Lisa!

And of course, it would be downright Un-American not to make this into a competition, so we chose 20 of the top designs we felt really brings out the beauty of these diamonds.  These are posted on our Facebook page and we will allow our fans to vote for the winners.

Blog Hop List

It is a misnomer to say that these are the top 20 designs - because there are many many designs that are absolutely gorgeous.  These 20 are just the ones we felt best represent our items and show off the products the best for us as a business.  I'm sure you are now itching to see more, so without further ado, I give you the list for the Diamonds in the Rough Challenge!

Please check out all the cool designs and read how they came up with all the designs.  It really is amazing for our staff to see all the transformations - from a strand in a bag on a shelf into these marvelous creations.

Interested in These Products?

We wouldn't be a business (well, a very good business) if we didn't do a shameless commercial plug here.  If you are interested in making the jewelry featured here, check out each designer's descriptions.  Those are the product codes you can use to find the items on our site.  Some designers have gone the extra mile and added links directly to the items.  Also, we've added a few of these designs to our jewelry gallery, which has links to the products as well.

If you want to buy the actual piece, you'll have to ask them directly.  Check out their Etsy shops or find a way to convince them to part with their creations!
